Jennifer Holth Winkels Family Scholarship Endowment

If you were lucky enough to know Jennifer Holth Winkels, you remember her huge hugs, sincere smile, and the deep love she felt for those around her.

She was a passionate and fierce advocate for her son who has autism. Jennifer graduated from UND with degrees in sociology and social work, and for 20 years she advocated for, worked with, and cared for people with disabilities. She was always a voice for equity.

To remember Jennifer, her family has created the Jennifer Holth Winkels Family Scholarship Endowment. The scholarship will:

  • Support students who are advancing their education to teach those with autism.
  • Support students who have that “fierce fire within” to advocate for those with autism.
  • Support students who want to teach and guide those with autism to attain their greatest potential.
  • Support students who want to continue their education, learn how to communicate with and support parents/guardians, and provide tools so parents can continue supporting their children to be the best they can be.
